FYI

Tuesday seems like a good, quiet day to scan and upload, so I'll try to stick to a Tuesday weekly sketch dump.

These are all posted up in order as I do them, so all the pages I posted up today were done in the last week. On most days I fill up at least a page, some less than a page, and on others I might burn through three or four.

Warts and All, Part 6

I always feel like I have to go back and refresh my anatomy drawing periodically, but I feel even more compelled to do so after I've been working in a looser, cartoonier style for awhile. I really think that the reason guys like Stephen Silver and Bruce Timm make they're particularly stylized stuff really work is their rock-solid grounding in the basics of anatomy and proportion.

Warts and All, part 5

I got some bad news last week that really shook me up. I kept on drawing, but my heart really wasn't in it, and it shows in some really spectacularly bad drawings here on the first page.

Warts and All, part 4

Some pretty decent drawings in this batch. On the second page here, I was looking at a bunch of mugshots online while working on doing caricatures. I'm not sure how well they work as pure caricatures, but they're pretty decent drawings nonetheless. Well, except for the old lady on the top right that I didn't finish; I just wasn't happy with her.

On page 3 you can see some more development work for the webcomic I have in mind.
